Kristen’s Bio

Kristen is Owner and Lead Consultant at Edessa Research. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Anthropology and has over 10 years of experience in the international development and humanitarian sector as a monitoring & evaluation professional.  Prior to founding Edessa Research, she worked extensively in the WASH sector designing and implementing multi-million-dollar research projects and impact evaluations.

After a number of years of working in and serving as a leader in the non-profit space, she realized there was a need for skilled monitoring & evaluation professionals who could serve a wide variety of organizations and who also understood the importance of spirituality and faith in poverty alleviation. It was then that she founded Edessa Research.

To date she has worked with organizations providing safe water in Honduras, educating children and youth in Tanzania, rescuing victims of human trafficking in India, and sharing the gospel in South Sudan.

Kristen lives along the coast of South Carolina in a house full of boys (her husband Aaron, children Jude (3) and Theo (1), and dog, Charlie). She is involved in women’s ministry at her local church and spends most of her spare time playing pirates, PAW Patrol, and PJ Masks.
